Wendy Lynde, 71 of Rockford died on October 29, 2024. Born November 19, 1952 in Rockford; daughter of Freeman and Minnie (Bartels) Nichols. Graduate of Harlem High School Class of 1970. Wendy was formerly employed at J.L. Clark, Barber Coleman and Septran. Wendy was known by all of her friends and family as a great cook. She demonstrated her love to her family in part by making wonderful meals and treats. Survived by her children; Jody Spradlin, Brian (Heather) Lynde, Bradley (Kelly) Lynde, Matthew (Katrina) Lynde; Son-in-law, Bronson Spradlin; grandchildren, Tyler Mueller-Lynde, Baily Lynde, Camron Haenitch, Braydon Savitski-Lynde, Caleb Lynde, Kaitlyn Lynde, Allison Lynde, Kailey Lynde and Lucas Lynde. Preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Floyd McPeek; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Denny Nelson and brother, Cecil Nichols. Cremation rites will be accorded.
