Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
Virginia Margaret Tubbesing, 90 of Rockford died on July 7, 2011 at 8:48 a.m. in Amberwood Care Center. Virginia was born on February 8, 1921 in Rockford, daughter of Hjalmar and Selma Swanson. She attended Rockford schools and was in the last graduating class of Rockford Central in 1940. She was employed at American Cabinet, which later became Amerock. United in Marriage to Earl Tubbesing on June 6, 1945 in Rockford. Virginia enjoyed playing cards and bingo and always had a tray of warm cookies ready for visitors. Survived by her sons; Garry (Lyn) Tubbesing, Todd Tubbesing both of Rockford; grandchildren; Adam (Sara) Tubbesing, Amy (Jerry Johns) Tubbesing, Eric (Tonya) Aarli, Matt (Laura Doyle) Aarli, Melissa Sole; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 4700 Augustana Drive Rockford.
