Rosalia Virginia Leoni, 92, of Rockford went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2024. Born September 4, 1931 in Santa Ana, CA; daughter of Ursino and Sobeida (Payan) Fierro. United in marriage to Amado R. Leoni on February 4, 1951. Virginia was the best mother ever, she was kind, loving and focused on her family; whom she loved dearly. She loved the Lord, and was a self-described missionary, sharing the Word with friends, family and strangers. She shared the miracle that the Lord performed in her life in her travels to Mexico, and California where she brought Bibles to members of the community. Her loving presence will be greatly missed by her family. Survived children, Rosalia (Tom) Gerdes, Amadeo Leoni Jr., Isabel Christina (Uwe) Ebert, George Edward Leoni, Alan (Pam) Leoni, Dante (Allie) Leoni; grandchildren, Tom (Lisa Marie) Gerdes, Joshua (Emily) Gerdes, Tara (John) Hammer, Gina (Tony) Gonzalez, Bianca Leoni, Rachel Leoni, Karisa (Aaron) Boe, Dante Jorge Leoni; Giselle (Mark) Srnec Monika Ebert, Natalie, Sophie, Haylie, Victoria, Amelia, Emily Leoni; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Audrey, Jack, Max, Cooper, Collins, Jethro, Gabriel, Natiana, Nora, Weston, Owen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special pets, Snoopy, Princess and FiFi. Preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Sosimo, Matilde, Ursino, Ester. Visitation Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services; 4301 N. Main St. Rockford; followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. Pastor Bart Bentley will officiate.
