Violet R. (Truett Jones) Molander, 75, of Rockford died on January 13, 2019. Born on August 11, 1943 in Ravenden, AR; daughter of Henry and Mary (Rose) Truett. Graduate of Rockford West High School, class of 1961. Attended Rock Valley College. Vi was employed at Hamilton Sundstrand as a Traffic Supervisor for 23 years. United in marriage to William Molander on December 31, 1985 in Freeport. Vi coached Junior Bowling at Auburn Bowl for many years. Survived by her daughters; Kallie (Patrick) Bailey of Rockford, Vicki (Alec) Lay of Davis Junction; grandchildren, Lucas and Mark Lay; sister, June Evelyn Rose of Orange Park, FL; sister-in-law, Laura Truett of Mesa, AZ; nieces, Staci (Rob) Nodine of Floyds Knob, IN, Becky Rose of Orange Park, FL, several other nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Jeff, Brian and Bradley Molander; and the community and staff at Independence Village. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Thelma Hansel, Jo Schoppaul, Mary Lucille Scott; and brother, Henry A. Truett. Visitation on Friday, January 18, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 S. Alpine Rd. Rockford, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Interment in Willwood Burial Park.
