Traci Lynn Huckelberry, 44, died suddenly at Rockford Memorial Hospital on September 11, 2015 due to complications of a blood clot; surrounded by family, just five days before her birthday. Born to Charles and Linda (Knipprath) Huckelberry in 1970. Attended East High School and worked most of her life at Brooke Road and Kishwaukee Cleaners with her father. Married John Utley Sr. in 1987. Throughout her short life, she enjoyed and loved her children and granddaughter. She loved to crochet, bowl, bingo and scratch lottery tickets. Traci hauled around a purse that weighed 100 lbs. and a key ring that weighed 10 lbs., and it was a rare occurrence to see her without a 2 liter of Diet Dr. Pepper and chocolate in her hand. She went out of her way to help others, whenever they needed it. She was a selfless, beautiful and caring woman who constantly put others first. She leaves behind her children, Stephanie Huckelberry and John (Nitsy Syphommarath) Utley Jr.; brothers, John (Sarah) Huckelberry and Charlie (Abby) Huckelberry; granddaughter, Alicianna; parents, Linda (John Aaronson) Hayes and Charles Huckelberry; step-sisters, Tabitha Koch, Tonya Rodden, Rachel Warren; former spouse, John Utley Sr.; and numerous relatives and friends who love and miss her tremendously. Very special thank you to all who cared for her in the ICU at RMH. Traci's final wish was to donate her body for scientific research. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Born Ministries, 8213 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park. Memorial Visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Wendell Maynard will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Traci's family for medical and funeral expenses. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
