Missed Greatly, Forever Loved, and Never Forgotten
Thomas S. Gustafson, 47, of Belvidere died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born March 1, 1965, graduated from Belvidere High School, and attended Heartland Church. He was married to Lucy Gustafson for 22 years, and together they raised Kaleb Gustafson, Jacob Moore, and Tiffany (Matt) Buss. He was blessed to be Grampe to three beautiful grandkids, Aidan, Asher and Abbott, and was faithfully loved by his pets, Zena, Zeus, Juno, and Daphne. Tom is also survived by mother, Marilyn Gustafson; brothers, Shane (Denise), Kip (Renee), Gary (Sandy), Dennis (Julie); and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Bernie and brother, Tim. He was employed at Spancrete for 20 years and currently at General Mills. Tom was popular among his many friends for his fun loving jokester ways. He was an avid sports fan, loved 'da Bears', and stood by the Cubs. He enjoyed watching his kids, bowling, snowmobiling, playing with his grandkids, his TransAm and loved topping the night off with Sammy's Pizza. Tom will be missed greatly, forever loved, and never ever forgotten. Celebration of Tom's Life at 5: 30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Road, Rockford, with visitation from 3:30 p.m. to time of service; Pastor Doug Thiesen will officiate. Interment at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in Highland Memorial Gardens.
