Theresa A. Carlson, 64, of Rockford died on October 13, 2015 at Alden-Park Strathmoor. Born on May 9, 1951 in Rockford, daughter of Frank and Juanita (Hurd) Walters. Graduate of Harlem High School. Theresa was employed as a CNA. She was a beautiful and loving person, and is missed tremendously by her family. She was someone who they could always turn to for advice, a hug or a home cooked meal. She had an excellent sense of humor, and was an all-around great person. Survived by her daughter, Angela Carlson; son, Paul (Christy) Carlson; step-daughter, Sheila Cochran; grandchildren, Alexis, Corey, Carissa, Tyler, Megan, Sierra, Bryanna, Destaney, Bengermen, Aracelia and Tristan; great-grandchildren, Ebony and Zoey; friends, Helen Beaver, Suzanne Smith and Tara Hilton. Preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Courtney; great-grandson, Jace; Aunt, Charlene Dunn and grandparents, Charles and Leota Higgins. Celebration of Life on Saturday October 31st at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Assembly of God Church, 4242 W. Riverside Blvd., Rockford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
