Stefan "Steve" Lindsey, 50 of Rockford went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on May 12, 2011. Steve was born on April 7, 1961 in Regensburg, Germany, son of Clifford and Ingrid Lindsey. On February 17, 2010 he married the love of his life, Karleen. Steve worked as a plumber, a career that he loved. He was a hard worker, who enjoyed spending his free time fishing. He loved it so much that it was sometimes hard to pull him off the lake. Steve was a devout Christian, accepting the Lord as an adult. He was involved in various activities at his church. He is survived by his wife, Karleen; children, Ryan and Alexander; sister, Carmen; father in law, Leroy Shere. Preceded in death by his parents, and mother in law. A Celebration of Steve's life will be on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at Family Bible Fellowship, 3015 Ridge Ave. Rockford. Rev. Jeff Peterson will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family.
