Shirley M. Hammer, 79, of Rockford died September 28, 2021. Born July 23, 1942 in Walnut Ridge, AR; daughter of Hartford and Gertrude (Smith) Bruce. United in marriage to Frank Hammer on January 25, 1964. Shirley was an avid bingo player. Survived by children; Karen (Sean) Murphy, Michael (Mary Jack) Hammer; grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Murphy, Olivia Hammer and brother-in-law John M. Hammer. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Charles Bruce, Junior Bruce and Betty Kelsey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
