Sharon K. Cleveland, 48,
Sharon left her life on June 19, 2017 after losing her battle to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Sharon was born in Valparaiso, Indiana and moved with her family to Rockford, Illinois where she lived most of her life. Sharon graduated from Harlem High School. She was a parishioner of St. Bridget's Church and a member of the Rockford Diocesan Retreat Team. Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and had a love of dogs. She was a good athlete and played softball as long as she was able. Sharon is survived by parents: Tom and Barb Cleveland; siblings: Kate (Paul) McGinnis, Bob (Kimberly) Cleveland, Pam Cleveland, Peggy Washington, Dave (Jenn) Cleveland and Tim (Memo Madrigal) Cleveland; and her nephews and niece: Matt McGinnis, Nate Washington, Jake Washington and Josie Cleveland. Sharon is pre-deceased by her sister, Diane Cleveland. Visitation on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Bridget's Parish Hall, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. Msgr. Daniel Deutsch will officiate. A luncheon and gathering with Sharon's family will immediately follow the service. Private family interment in Immaculate Conception Columbarium. The family expresses their sincere and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Alpine Fireside Health Center who took such excellent care of Sharon.
