Sandy J. Spivey, 69 of Beloit, formerly of Rockford went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 17, 2021. Sandy was born on November 25, 1951 in Ashtabula, OH; daughter of Harold and Louann Bowdler. Graduate of Edgewater Senior High School. Sandy obtained her Associate Degree from Cleveland Tech in Horticulture. Sandy owned the Happy Cricket Floral Shop in Astabula, OH prior to moving to Rockford where she was employed as a floral designer at Zazu Gifts, Kings Flowers, Bill Doran Floral Wholesale Company and most recently, Vintage Petal. Sandy loved the Lord, and always greeted people with a smile and a hug. She was always thinking of others and enjoyed making people happy. She was an incredibly talented florist, her work brought joy and happiness to so many. United in marriage to Randy Spivey on May 26, 1989 in Jacksonville, NC. Survived by husband, Randy; brother, Harold Glen Bowdler; nieces, Chrissy (Michael) Denoyer, Anna (Donald) Endicott and Emily Bowdler. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jerry Bowdler and nephew, Josh McConnell. Sandy's wish was for guests to wear bright clothing and to share stories and memories at her Celebration of life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N.
