Sandra Thompson, 73, of Pecatonica passed away peacefully on September 16, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14, 1943 in Rockford, daughter of Floyd and Shirley Eichelberger. She was employed at National Detroit for many years. Sandra graduated from the University of Phoenix with an Accounting Degree. Sandra was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always put others first, and cared deeply about her family. She fought a battle with Multiple Sclerosis for 33 years with grace and determination. Survived by her children, Debra Leis of Rockford, Kathleen (Jeff Ayer) Raia of Freeport, Susan (Chuck) Graves of Pecatonica, Cynthia Thompson of Rockton; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jamie) Blau, Cassity (Ryan) Crane, Faith Boan, Joseph Raia; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Caden, and Nolan Blau, Jaylee Graves, Dalton Crane; friend and amazing landlord for many years, Ken (Carol) Fisher; special friends, Peggy Kimes, Joanne (Gary) Peak, Robin Schlichting, Mike Miley and Chad Encheff. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Cebas and son, Leslie "Les" Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
