Sam Vincent Russo, 88, of South Beloit, formerly of Lubbock, TX died June 13, 2022. Born February 7, 1934 in Chicago. Graduate of South Beloit High School. Served in the United States Army. United in marriage to Betty Eberly on January 7, 1984. Sam was employed at the his father's business, the Derby Tavern in South Beloit as a bartender. He also delivered food for Anna Maria's Pizza and worked as a bus driver at Jelco Bus Company in Beloit. He worked at the Sundance Car Wash in Lubbock, TX. He enjoyed relaxing activities like watching television and western movies, having a cold beer and eating out. Survived by his children, Michael Russo, Nancy (Albert) Ulven, Kathy (Michael) Hynes; special friend, Dee Slater; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; former spouse, Doris Russo Brady; children, Tom and David Daniels; spouse, Betty Eberly; and step-daughter Robin Bingham. Sam's family is grateful to the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home for the loving care they provided. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family.
