Sally Anne Bergen, 71, of Rockford went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2024. Born April 15, 1952 in Chicago. Daughter of Walter H. and Edguerita "Rita" (Garling) Schumann. United in marriage to James Ernest Bergen on March 30, 1972 in Wheaton. Sally was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Rockford Gastroenterology prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Sally was a member of City First Church, she enjoyed the connections she made there and the teachings; which strengthened her relationship with Christ. Survived by husband, James; son, Samuel (Maile) Bergen; step-daughters, Kimberly (Joseph) Giebudowski, Sheryl (David) Symons; grandchildren, Aidan, Charis, Kalena and Timothy Bergen; step-grandchildren, Brandon (Stacey) Giebudowski, Kayleigh Beth (Matthew) Spradlin, Lindsay Giebudowski, Joshua (Alyssa) Symons, Caleb Symons, Sheila (Michael) O'Connell; Sister, Pat Lichte; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Bergen, Charlene Schumann; nephews, Scott Schumann, Jerry (Stacy) Hay; niece, Rebecca (Robert) Casarez; several other nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends; Greg and Annie Wood, Tony and Joy Spata and cat, Alby. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve Schumann; and brother-in-law, Bill Lichte. Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11 am at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services; 4301 N.
