Loving Mother, Grandmother and Companion
Ruth B. Keller, 67, of Rockford died on November 24, 2014 at 4:00 a.m. in her home, surrounded by her family. Ruth was born on December 11, 1946 in Mississippi, daughter of John and Alva (Baker) Brimhall. United in marriage to Ivan Keller Sr. Ruth was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Her passing leaves a void in her family, and she will be greatly missed. Ruth was employed at Denny's as a waitress for many years. She is survived by her companion, Roger Wheaton; children, Ivan Keller Jr. of Roscoe, Kim (Shane) Klinger of Machesney Park, Ray Keller of Rockford; grandchildren, Zac, Jacob, Blake, Ashley, Isaiah, Eli; and brother, Jimmy Derry. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ivan, and several siblings. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford – at Colonial Village, with memorial visitation at 5 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruth's family. Cremation rites to be accorded.
