Rosario Perez, 60, of Rockford died on November 11, 2021. Born on June 1, 1961 in Toledo, OH; daughter of Rudolfo and Felicitis (Villegas) Quinones. Rosario retired from the Elgin Mental Health Center, where she was employed as a Security Therapy Aide. Formerly employed at Singer Mental Health Center, where she worked as a Mental Health Technician. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rosie was a supportive mom, loving grandma, and faithful friend. She enjoyed going to the movies, playing slots, sudoku puzzles, listening to the radio, and watching the news. Although she spent much of her time working to provide for her 7 children as a single mom, she instilled in them many valuable virtues through leading by example. She was resilient, generous, thoughtful, and loved all people. She will be greatly missed. Survived by Felicitis (Ed) Lewis, Isabella (Roy) Rodriguez, Estraillita (Chauncey Taylor) Lopez, Crisantos (Lindsay Bailey) Lopez, Jennifer Perez, Gabriela Garcia, Calos Martinez; 21 grandchildren; siblings, Andrea Garcia, Rudy Quinones, Maria Avalos, Joe Quinones; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents. Visitation on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N.
