Ronald L. Fuchs, 70, of Rockford died on April 20, 2017. Ron was born in Quincy, and grew up in Naperville and Bloomington. Son of Leonard and Bonnie (Wachs) Fuchs. He attended Southern Illinois University; obtained his Bachelor Degree from Illinois State University, and completed graduate work at Northern Illinois University. United in marriage to his wife, Ellen in New Jersey 44 years ago. He retired from Rockford Public Schools, where he was employed as a teacher at Page Park and Rolling Green Schools, where he taught teenagers and children with special needs. Attended Heartland Community Church. Survived by his wife, Ellen; siblings, Linda Norton of Normal and her son Lane Norton, Karen (Bob) Brooks of Bloomington; and their children, Chelsea and Bradley (Elizabeth) Brooks, and Kevin Fuchs of Carlinville. Preceded in death by his parents and son Brian Fuchs. Per Ron's wishes no services will be held. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family.
