Ronald Emil Denk, 77, of Rockford died on January 5, 2023. Born July 5, 1945 in Elgin. Son of Frederick and Agnes (Schaller) Denk. United in marriage to Marcia Cooper on September 18, 1965. Graduate of Elgin High School. He obtained his Tool & Die Maker certification, which prepared him for a successful career at Continental Automation in St. Charles; from which he retired in March of 2013. Ron's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his world. He loved spending time with them. He enjoyed playing golf in his free time. He always hoped his weekly lottery ticket purchases would lead to the big jackpot. Survived by his wife, Marcia; children, Tracy Navin, Rodney (Jennifer) Denk; grandchildren, Kailey (Patrick Baker), Julia (Ryan Parham) Navin, Jacob Denk, Mason Denk; great-grandchildren, Andrew Baker, Logan Baker; sister-in-law, Nancy Denk; nephew Michael (Trish) Denk; and niece, Sue (Curt) Pierce. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edwin Denk; half-brothers, John Denk, Fritz Denk. A private family service will be held in the future.
