Ronald Wayne Bannister Jr., 42 of Davis Junction died at 4:00 am on May 17, 2010 in Swedish American Hospital. Ron was born on March 1, 1968, son of Ronald Bannister Sr. and Nancy Lusz. Attended Rockford Public Schools. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and watching the Bears and Blackhawks. Ronnie also liked spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Ronald Bannister Sr. of Davis Junction and Nancy (Dave) Lusz of Roscoe; children, Jessica and Christa Smith; brothers, Richard Bannister of Machesney Park, James (Kim) Bannister of Rockford, Jason Bannister of Wisconsin; step-brother, Richard (Kelly) Lusz, of Belvidere; sisters, Kelly (Tim) Denk of Rockford, Misty Fidder of Georgia, Jennifer Bannister of Rockford; grandparents, George Hodges, June (Bernie) Banister; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by infant brother, Jason and step-brother David Lusz.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 12:00 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Road, Rockford, Rev. Dr. Ronald C. Meyer officiant.
