Robert D. Shives, 93 of Rockford died on September 22, 2015 in his home. Born May 24, 1922 in Dunbar, PA. Son of Robert and Martha Shives. Robert served in the United States Army 14th Armored Division in WWII. Member of Tebala Shrine and the Drum & Bugle Corp. United in Marriage to Delores Owens on August 15, 1946. Retired from NI Gas Sales Department. Survived by son, Rodney (Virginia) Shives of New Milford; grandchildren, Andrea and Eric (Andrea) Shives, Jason Shives, Jeremy Shives and Amanda Mannina; great-granddaughter, Giulana Shives; brother, Roger (Donna) Russell of St. Charles, MO. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; son, Randy Shives and daughter-in-law, Marcia Shives.
