Robert E. Bailey, 53, of Rockford died on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:30 p.m. in his home. Bob was born on December 22, 1958 in Chicago, son of Curtis and Mary Jane Bailey. Employed as a fabricator at Anderson Packaging. Bob loved fishing, and was the king of casting the reel. His favorite sports teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago White Sox. On February 9, 2012 he was United in Marriage to Patricia Jackson, his best friend and soul mate of 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Pat; step-children, Dennis Paul (Kara) Jackson, Michael Ray (Jamie) Jackson; step-grandsons, Nathan, Logan, Tyler, Jake, Matthew; mother, Mary Bailey; siblings, Willie (Marguerite) Bailey, Jimmy (Maxine) Bailey, Mary Bailey Bomar, Elizabeth (Sebron) Maze, Peter Bailey, Denise Bailey; Aunts, Dorothy Walker and Clara Terry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his father; grandparents, uncles and aunts. A Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford, at Colonial Village.
