Rimas Skominas, 57, of Rockton died on October 2, 2018. Born on March 5, 1961 in Lithuania. Son of Vytautas and Konstancija (Buragaite) Skominas. He graduated from Lithuania Physical Education University and was a track and field runner. United in marriage to Gitana Tamaskauskaite on September 27, 2000. Rimas was a self-employed small business owner, working in commercial cleaning and delivery. His dream was to one day drive a big rig truck. Rimas enjoyed fishing and spending time with his pets. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. Rimas had a big sense of humor. He loved to spoil his children, sneaking away to the mall for shopping sprees, and watching sports with his sons. He spoiled his baby, Inga, and dreamed of taking her to Disney World to see the princesses. He is survived by his wife, Gitana; children, Aidas, Sandra, Vito Algis, and Inga Skominas; and special neighbors and friends Jake and Megan Forsythe. Graveside funeral service on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Rockton Cemetery, 500 West Street. Father William Wentink will officiate.
