Richard P. Stedman, 81, of Belvidere died on Monday, September 1, 2014 in Pine Acres Nursing Home in DeKalb. Richard was born on March 18, 1933 in Greenwood, son of Murreyl and Arlene (Webster) Stedman. United in Marriage on April 9, 1954 to Esther Maitland. Survived by children, Laurel Dittbenner, Cheryl (Denham) Reynolds, Marcia Barefield, Meredith (Keith) Smith, Laura Castro, Michael (Wanda) Maitland; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Phillip Dittbenner; and wife Esther. Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family.
