Richard "Dick" Pearce, 74, of Roscoe died on February 21, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 19, 1950 in Rockford, son of Edmon Frances and Mary Lucille (LaFleur) Pearce. United in marriage on May 30, 1985 to Joanie Clem in Oregon, IL. Dick retired from Chrysler in 1998 after 30 years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 1268. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking; his specialties were Italian Beef and meatballs. Dick was an avid sports fan and White Sox season ticket holder. He also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears. Dick's favorite shows were Gunsmoke and Fox News. He was a wonderful husband, devoted father and caring grandfather. Dick loved being a Papa to his little buddy; grandson, Jace. They shared bananas and peaches on a daily basis. Survived by his wife, Joanie; children, Arthur (Cassie) Pearce, Thomas Pearce, Gerald Pearce; grandchildren, Arianna, Zane, Andrew, Jace, Brinley, Lilly and one on the way; siblings, Paul Michael (Rebecca "favorite sister-in law") Pearce, Thomas (Debbie Stastica) Pearce; brother-in-law, Phillip (Mary) Clem, Joe Clem; and other favorite sister-in-law; Kellie (Rob) Merfeld; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Jack Plaster and Matt Buzym. Preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, Thurman and Christina Clem; son, Richard Pearce, sisters; Catherine Ann Pearce, Mary Margaret Pearce and friend, Dan Hart. Visitation of Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11 am to 12:45 pm; followed by a funeral service at 1 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Msgr.
