Rebecca Lynn Redmon-Brugman, 35, of Rockford died January 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born November 10, 1978 in Rockford, daughter of Eddie and Candy (Herbig) Redmon. Graduate of Harlem High School, class of 1997. Formerly employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Group Benefits Specialist. Survived by her children, Austin and Andrew Brugman of Machesney Park; parents, Eddie and Candy Redmon of Rockford; brother, Jason (Erica) Redmon of Machesney Park; soul mate and love of her life, Joshua Olson of Loves Park; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Rebecca's life is Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Gentle Shepherd Fellowship, 2905 Bildahl St. Rockford. Rev. Judy Penniman will officiate. Visitation at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for an education fund to be established for Rebecca's boys.
