Raymond Edward Grebas Sr., 76 of Rockford died on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Alden Park Strathmoor where he lived for the last year and a half after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born on August 31, 1934 in Shirland, son of Anthony and Margaret Grebas. He attended West High School and resided in Winnebago for many years. Served in the US Army. Raymond retired from Ro-Pal Machining Inc. where he was a precision machinist. He was an accomplished gardener, proud of his Lithuanian heritage and a member of the Lithuanian Club. Member of St. Patrick's Church. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Orvis-Grebas; former spouse, Barbara Marin of Machesney Park; children, Robin (Larry) Hughes of Nevada, Laura (Dean) Pepol of Chicago, Pamela Ignacio of Rockford, Raymond Edward Grebas Jr. "RG" of Wisconsin, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; 96 year old Aunt Ann Goodoff, special nephew, George (Jerine) Stiff of Winnebago, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; 8 brothers and sisters; son in law, Dante Ignacio Jr.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private services will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, Rockford is assisting the family. Memorials may be made in Raymond's name to The Parkinson's Institute and Clinical Center 675 Almanor Avenue Sunnyvale, CA 94085.
