Raymond J. Corey, 66, of Rockford died on June 14, 2015 in his home, with his loving wife by his side. Ray was born on January 23, 1949 in Rockford, son of Clarence and Elsie (Sally) Corey. United in Marriage to Sandra Zierfuss on February 12, 1976. Ray was formerly employed as a union laborer, and at Opsahl's Tavern. Ray was a loving and devoted husband and friend, with a heart of gold. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time at his camper at the Hickory Hills Campground in Edgerton, WI. Member of the Eagles Club. Survived by his wife, Sandy; siblings, Agnes Maggio, Bill (Rosemary) Corey, Margaret Amdur, and Clarence "Jay" (Sharon) Corey Jr. Preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings. Celebration of Ray's Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his family are appreciated. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family. Visit www.graceFH.com .
