Randall Duane Redmond, 66, of Rockford went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 14, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. Born on August 22, 1959 in Rockford; son of Richard and Dorothy (Arbogast) Redmond. Graduate of West High School, class of 1977; where he played football. He was a skilled athlete who enjoyed playing all sports. He loved Lake Norfork family vacations more than Christmas, always counting the days until the next vacation. Randy was a Green Bay Packer fan. He loved being a member of his car club and enjoyed cruising North Towne Mall and area parks in his 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Randy was a dedicated employee and worked hard throughout his career. He always showed up on time, no matter the weather and was a loyal employee. He worked at Pierce Laminated Countertops for 19 years. He was a Machinist at Trucut Production for 23 years, where he retired from. Survived by his children, Travis (Allie) and Tanner Redmond; grandchildren, Ryder, Tripp and Emelia Redmond; girlfriend, Denise Reed; mother, Dorothy Redmond; siblings, Steven Redmond, Rhonda (Philip) Whitehead; nephew, Isaiah (Keeley) Whitehead; niece; Olivia Whitehead; baby Whitehead (due June of 2026); life-long friend, Ty Schmitt, and a circle of friends. Preceded in death by his father, who died on December 31, 2025. Visitation January 24, 2026 at 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Memorial Baptist Church, 7007 Flora Rd. Rockford. Pastor Scott Rehfeldt will officiate. Interment in Willwood Burial Park.
