Randal Ray Simerson, 51 of Rockford died on Friday, August 5, 2011 in Rockford. Born on April 9, 1960, Son of Daniel and Margaret Simerson. Worked in construction. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bones, football his dog Ru Ru and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Kristi (Paul) Sanders, Packwaukee, WI; Rex (Sarah) Cravens of Deerfield, WI, Carmen (Curtis) Walnoha of West Virginia; mom Margaret and Gene Thornton of Rockford; grandchildren, Destiny, Karley, Steven, Amara, Kyle, Evan; brothers, Timothy (Sherrie) Simerson of Lebanon, Tenn. Alan (Sherry) Thornton of Rockford, Douglas (Dawn) Thornton of Freeport, sister, Deborah (Gary) Powell of Holcomb; good friend, Mark Cook of Minnesota; cousins, Rick Kopplin, Donnie Borcherts; Special Friend, Debbie Craven; many other loving family and friends and beloved dog Brew. Preceded in death by his father. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to the service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 600 N.
