Obituary

Priscilla B. Clabough, 90, of Rockford died on November 18, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. at Crimson Pointe. She was born on September 10, 1924 in Rockford, daughter of Harry and Edith (Wall) Johnson. Priscilla, a lifelong Rockford resident, was united in marriage to Charles "Norm" N. Clabough on February 17, 1943 in Rockford. Priscilla was a skilled seamstress, and devoted homemaker who also enjoyed playing golf and bridge. She volunteered at Rockford Memorial Hospital as a Pink Lady, was a PTO Member at Marsh school while her children attended, and was a member of Salem Lutheran and Gloria Dei Lutheran Churches. Priscilla is survived by her children, Chuck (Marcia) Clabough of Rockford, Nancy (Tom) Oar of Yaak, MT, Tom (Mary Ann Norwood) Clabough of Rockford; grandchildren, Chuck Clabough Jr. of Rockford, Drew (Wendy) Clabough of Mt. Airy, NC, Pete (Brooke) Clabough of Yorkville, IL, Michael (Junko) Clabough of Colorado Springs, CO, Melissa (Jonathan) Whitmore of Rockford; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Courtney, Caleb, AJ, Kyla, Kensei Clabough, Zachary and Addyson Whitmore; sister-in law, June Johnson of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Tom Johnson.
A Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:30 am at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford. Rev. Donald Lavelle will officiate. The service will be preceded by a visitation at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Susan G. Komen Foundation. There will be a private interment in Scandinavian Cemetery.
