Phyllis E. Hilliard, 71, of Rockford passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 into the arms of Jesus. She was born November 25, 1943 in Rochelle, daughter of Thomas and Ardelle (Hamrick) Rainey. Married Larry Hilliard in Byron on June 9, 1962. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother as well as friend. She will be greatly missed. Survived by husband, Larry; children, Julie (Brian Jensen) Spain, Scott (Alaire) Hilliard and Darin (Lavender) Hilliard; grandchildren, Alyssa Hilliard, Kelsey Hilliard, Paige Spain, Nolan Spain, Alexandra Hilliard, Logan Hilliard; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ryder and Barrett; brothers, Bill (Rosie) Rainey and Hugh (Jill) Rainey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Susan Yingling, Helen Watson and infant brother. Funeral Service, Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Church Ministries, 7825 Forest Hills Road, Loves Park, with visitation at 9 a.m. until the time of service. Rev.
