Ortha Jane Hunter, 72, of Rockford died on February 17, 2015. Born on September 5, 1942 in Prestonsburg, KY; daughter of Henry and Dacie (Frazier) Shepherd. United in Marriage to Joe Hunter on October 31, 1976. Survived by her children, Connie (Phong) Rose-Phommasouvannarath of Rockford, Elzie (Christine) Rose of South Elgin, Anthony Rose of Kentucky, Walter Rose of Rockford; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Clay (Gyla) Jones and Karen (David) Eberle both of Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe and siblings, Rita Whisman and David Jones. Celebration of Life, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South alpine Rd. Rockford, with visitation at 1 p.m. until the time of service. Rev.
