Neil T. Carlson passed away Wednesday, February 1st after battling a long illness. Neil was born in Rockford IL and graduates from East High School in 1967. Neil served in Vietnam and was an active member of the VFW Club and Disabled Veterans. Neil was also a lifelong member of the Lyran Club, was a avid trapshooter at the Plug and Pellet, enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, and vacations to Ft. Meyers Florida. Neil lived his life to the absolute fullest with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Tommy) Wise, his older sister Sharon Gray, and his younger brother Steve (Florence) Carlson, special nephews Greg (Tammy) Gray, Geoffrey (Kim) Carlson, and beloved cousin Randy Obermiller. Neil is predeceased by his mother Helen and father Roger. The family would like to acknowledge John and Nacy from the VFW for the help as well as the wonderful and loving care from the Saint Anthony Critical Care Unit medical staff.
