Grandma Grape/Grandma Mam
Myrtle Magdalene (Hunt) Pack, born April 28, 1933, in Pike County, KY, daughter of Honest & Erma Hunt, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 12, 2012.
She graduated from McVeigh High School in McVeigh, KY, and married at 19. She worked at Peyson's Manufacturing, a small factory in Chicago, until the age of 22, when she became a full-time mother. She dearly loved her pets and enjoyed flower gardening. She was an avid collector of dolls, jewelry, purses, and shoes. She also loved being with her family and enjoyed various outings and get-togethers.
She is survived by Robert "Kibby" McKibben; daughter, Lula "Lou" (John) Murray; grandchildren, Missie (Eric) Pierson, Hershel (Ann) Jones, Judy Murray, Rosanne (Jason) Bonlander; ten great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; siblings, Cecil (Meril) Hunt, Ruby Smith. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Pack; and eight siblings, Gertrude, Lula, James, Clarence, Joan, Virginia, Ival, and Ruth Carol.
A visitation will be held at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 S Alpine Road, Rockford, at Colonial Village, at 12:00 pm, on Friday, May 18, followed by a service at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Scott Nesse. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Heartlfelt thanks for all the years of care to: Dr. Hussain and staff, Norman and Julius, all caregivers, Colleen and Marianne, Amy and staff of Heartland Hospice, all involved at every level of Mom's care at Rosewood.
