Monral "Monty" "Red" Jerome Belknap, 91, of Rockford; formerly of Haines City, FL died on October 2, 2020. Born January 14, 1929 in Rockford, son of Monral and Berniece (Edwards) Belknap. Graduate of West High School class of 1947. Monty served in the United States Army during the Korean War. United in marriage on September 25, 1954 in Janesville, WI to Donna Utzig. Red was employed for 19 years as a delivery driver for Hostess. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. Red taught his family the value of hard work and loved them all deeply. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He retired, along with his wife, Donna to Haines City, FL. They spent 17 years in Florida, before returning to Rockford two years ago to be closer to their family. Survived by wife, Donna; children, Sandy (Steve) Reilly, Connie (John) Jerfita, Jeff (Sandy) Belknap; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Donna) Belknap; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
