Michael D. Ainsworth, 69, of Rockford, went home to heaven on April 29, 2021. Born on September 21, 1951 in Rockford, son of Kenneth and Helen (Marshall) Ainsworth. Graduate of Guilford High School. Michael joined the UA Local 23 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union on March 20, 1974 and was a proud member for 47 years. United in marriage to Mary Strommen on September 8, 1972. Mary was his one true love. Mike and Mary had 2 beautiful children, a son Casey and a daughter Callie. Michael's hobbies included: motorcycles, golfing and the Las Vegas Raiders. Survived by sisters; Jean Nelson, Kathleen Ainsworth (Booty Hojnoski) and Susan Culliton, and brothers; Wayne Ainsworth and Charles Ainsworth (Phyllis), and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Casey; daughter, Callie; wife, Mary; sister, Janice Ainsworth; brothers, Robert Ainsworth and David Ainsworth; sister-in-law, Barbara Ainsworth; brother-in-law, Roger Nelson; and man's best friend, Maggie.
