Marie Doris Cole, 88, of Rockford passed away on May 31, 2026. Born April 1, 1938 in Ferryville, WI; daughter of Morris and Dorothy (Scribbins) Allen. Marie attended West High School. United in marriage to Stephen Cole on October 27, 1956 in Pine City, MN. She retired from Clinton Electronics, where she worked in inspection. Marie loved gathering her family together to host holidays and meals. Her family was truly her greatest joy. She went all out each holiday, decorating her house from top to bottom. Marie babysat her grandchildren, in their younger years. She was a talented seamstress, mending and altering clothes. Marie and Stephen loved dancing at the VFW, American Legion and the Moose Club in Belvidere, where they were members. Additionally, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She attended Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and Heartland Community Church. Survived by her husband, Stephen; children, Barbara (Michael Dreibelbeis) Cole, Sharon (Terry) Rudsinski, Jeffery Cole; grandchildren, Heather (Travis) Jones, Jonathan (Samantha) Gentry, Trevor (fiancée Delany Sisiruca) Lutzow, Jeremy (fiancée Caroline Gasienica) Cole; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister, Mavis Villarreal; sister-in-law, Madge Allen, brother-in-law, Leo Villarreal; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Clara and brother-in-law (LaVern "Bud") Jackson; brother, Morris "Junior" Allen Jr. Visitation Wednesday, June 10 from 10 am to 11 am at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford; followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
