Maria Teresa Romero De Aguirre, 70 of Mexico City died at 11:48 p.m. on July 8, 2011 at OSF ST. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Maria was born on September 12, 1940 in Mexico City, Mexico. Daughter of Fidel Romero and Maria Gonzalez. She was United in Marriage to Eduardo Aguirre Nila in Mexico City. She was a beautiful person, and a loving mom and grandmother. She is survived by her children; Maria (Gabriel) Valdez of Rockford, Eduardo A. Aguirre Romero of Mexico; grandchildren, Francisco Avelarde, Gaby Valdez, Marcy Valdez, Dani Valdez; siblings, Luz Maria Romero, Martha Romero and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Socorro, Estela Damaso and Antonio Romero. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service, 250 School Street Rockford. Father Ricardo Hernandez will officiate. Visitation on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford. Cremation rites will be accorded.
