Maria R. Perez, 64, of Rockford passed away on September 15, 2021. Born on May 10, 1957 in Aurora, daughter of Teofilo and Felipa (Camareno) Rodriguez. Maria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her sudden passing leaves a great void in loved one's hearts. She was an incredibly caring, kind and loving person who was truly beautiful; both on the outside and inside. When Maria saw a need, she'd do anything within her power to help others. Survived by husband, Juan Santos; children, Rosie Rodriguez, Irma Martinez, Jose Martinez, Evette Martinez, Fernando Martinez; numerous grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a large circle of extended family. Preceded in death by her parents, several sisters and brothers, and her grandson, Nico. Visitation on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Father William Wentink will officiate. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Cremation rites will be accorded.
