Loved the Lord
Margaret H. Olsen, 93 of Rockford went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2012 at 7:20 a.m. in the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, in Casa Grande, AZ. She was born on July 10, 1918 in Lancaster, MN; daughter of Albert and Esther Johnson. United in Marriage on June 5, 1941 to Rudolph C. Olsen in Rockford. Margaret was a member of Maywood Evangelical Free Church. She loved the Lord, and talked with Him daily about all decisions, both large and small. She enjoyed a strong cup of coffee with good friends, and will be remembered fondly for her great cooking skills. Margaret made the best Swedish Meatballs in the world. She was a Homemaker and was formerly employed at Nylint toys. Survived by her children, Lorraine (Dick) Miller of Rockford, Roger (Karen) Olsen of Rockton, daughter in law, Lynn Olsen of Rockford; grandchildren, Tara (Ron) Oakes, Dale (Tami) Miller, Matt (Matt) Olsen, Mark (Amy) Olsen, Josh Olsen; numerous great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; brother, Arvid (Sonja) Johnson, of California; sister, Edith (Richard) Ehrenstrom of Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Rudy Olsen, sister, Doris Peterson and brother Edward Johnson. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Service, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford, at Colonial Village. Pastor Scott Nesse will officiate.
