Loving and Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother
Lucille "Eydie" Kunz, 73, of Belvidere, died on August 14, 2015 after a long illness, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Eydie was born on February 17, 1942 in Sycamore, daughter of Donald and Gwendolyn Ericson. United in marriage to Myles Kunz on June 8, 1963 in Northbrook. Formerly employed at Woosley Shoes and Stonegate Nursery. Member of Third Presbyterian Church. Various craft projects kept her busy over the years, including knitting, ceramics and photography. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survived by her best friend and husband, Myles; children, Kimberlee (Todd) Tuttle and Myles (Angel Ferriola) Kunz; mother, Gwendolyn Ericson of Barrington; grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Kunz, Maxine, Trinity and Cassandra Tuttle; siblings, Donald (Carmen) Ericson II, Carolyn Ericson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father and infant son, Michael Kunz. Eydie's family extends their gratitude to the staff of Hospice Care of America and her caregivers, Jennifer and Rhonda for their care and devotion for the last five and a half years. Memorial Service, Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Third Presbyterian Church, 1221 Custer Ave. Rockford, with memorial visitation at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Stephen Bowie will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of America or Third Presbyterian Church. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family.
