Lori J. Medina, 53, of Loves Park died on September 30, 2024. Born July 9, 1971, in Tennessee; Daughter to Timothy Joe Branam. Lori relocated to Florida with her family at a young age, graduating high school in 1990. She demonstrated remarkable courage by enlisting in the Army, serving two years, including a tour in Korea, until her honorable discharge in 1992. It was during her military service that she met her future husband, Cris Medina, winning his heart with her exceptional cooking skills. They later married on May 27, 2000, in Lakeland Florida.
Lori's most cherished role was being a devoted mother to her daughter, Kayla Medina. She adored her family and was deeply loved in return. Lori loved reading fantasy novels, celebrating Halloween, and creatively transforming old doll houses into haunted houses. Her remarkable memory, sharp wit, and non-judgmental nature made her a beloved figure, renowned for her warmth and hospitality always ensuring that no one left her home hungry or feeling unwelcome. Survived by her husband Cris; daughter Kayla; siblings, Sandra Branam Marker, Jennifer Nieto, and Timothy Joe Branam II; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her special kitties; Squeak, Puff, Pumpkin, and Penelope. Preceded in death by her father. Per Lori's wishes, no services will be held.
