Lori Jean Anderson, 64, of Loves Park died on July 10, 2024 surrounded by family. Born March 22, 1960 in Rockford; daughter of Jerry and Barbara (Hunley) Andrews. Graduate of Harlem High School. United in marriage to Scott Anderson on June 29, 1985. Lori retired from the Dollar General, where she was a manager for many years. Lori and Scott took annual trips to Myrtle Beach, SC. One of Lori's favorite place was the beach. If the sun was shining, you could find Lori poolside with her friends and family. Summertime was all about heading to Aunt Lori's (and Uncle Scott's too) pool for a day of relaxation and fun. Her warm, loving personality turned many friends into "adopted" member of her extended family. She loved having a good time, listening to Michael Jackson and being surrounded by the people she loved the most in life. Lori is survived by her loving husband, Scott; children, Troy Anderson and Jessica Anderson; grandchildren, Josh Sheetz, Dylan Anderson, Dakota Sheetz, Gracie Sheetz; mother, Barbara Andrews; siblings, Mike, Scott (Brenda), Todd (Kristi) Andrews; numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, and a circle of extended family and friends near and far. In typical Lori fashion, she wished for a private gathering around the pool at the family home in celebration of her beautiful life. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family.
