Lonnie "Lon" Lee Strauch, 64, of Machesney Park died on June 23, 2013 at 8:25 p.m. at home. He was born on February 21, 1949 in Logansport, IN; son of Norman and Arma Jean Strauch. Formerly employed as an operating room technician at Bloomington Hospital, in Bloomington, IN. Lon was a true humanitarian, reaching out to others in need. His greatest companion was his dog, Lucy. He is survived by his father, of Logansport, IN; sister, Linda (Doug) Loner and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother. No services will be held. Memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
