Lois B. Taylor, 87, of Rockford, living with her daughter Joyce and family in Rockton; was surrounded by her family when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2022. Born November 23, 1934 in Alto Township, Lee County. Daughter of Cornel M. and Birdie (Brown) Hall. Lois was a graduate of Rochelle High School. Lois was an extremely hard worker, she obtained her cosmetology license and her teaching cosmetology license. She was the owner/operator of Lavender Locks Beauty Salon in Creston, IL and also worked as a Beautician from her home. She also was the Beautician for River Bluff Nursing Home and Peterson Meadows for years. Lois was full of laughter and a lot of fun to be with. Teresa and Lois would always be going out to eat, enjoying life and family picnics. Lois was lovingly called "Dolly" by her dad and brothers, because she looked just like a China doll. Lois was always there to help everyone in time of need. Survived by daughter, Joyce (Brian) Soderberg; grandchildren; Juliann Barta all of Rockton, Brent Soderberg of Florida; great-grandchildren, Tyler Barta, Hannah Soderberg, Adam Sliti; Sister; Joan Martin; sister-in-law, Avis Hall; son-in-law, Ralph Shepard; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Shepard; brother-in-law, Jerry Martin; brothers and sisters-in-law; Don and Shirley Hall, Orleo and Lola Hall, Robert Hall and Richard and Violet Hall. Lois's family are very grateful to her caregiver, Carmella Maffei for her loving care and kindness. Funeral service on November 11, 2022 at 11 am at Woodlawn Cemetery Creston, IL.
