Lois Wright Larson, 85, of Rockford passed away peacefully November 12, 2016 at River Bluff Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born in Stoughton, WI on April 10, 1931 to Harry and Emma (Otteson) Wright Sr. United in marriage to her loving husband, Wesley Larson on November 3, 1951. Wes and Lois moved to Rockford in 1955 where they raised four children. In later years she worked at Avenue Donut Shop. Lois loved camping, reading, cards, bingo and traveling with Wesley in their RV; where they met many friends. But more than anything she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois is survived by her husband; children, Gary (Debbie) Larson, Linda (Lloyd) Ramsby, Bob (Nancy) Larson, Brian (Mia) Larson; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Kelly Wright, sisters, Dorothy Olson and Elaine Rice and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Ed and Harry Wright. The family would like to thank the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home, especially the Dove Unit Staff for their loving care and Northern Illinois Hospice. Memorial Service on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Rockford First Chapel, 5770 Spring Creek Road, located west of the Rockford First Church. Pastor Jason McClenthen will officiate. Memorial Visitation at 9:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
