Lisa Marie Carter, 46, of Rockford died on February 18, 2018 in her home. Born on July 23, 1971 in Thunder Bay, Canada; daughter of Andrew and Linda (Pollow) Sharp. Graduate of Belvidere High School, and Rock Valley College. United in Marriage to David Carter on October 2, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Rockford. Lisa loved spending time with her family; she enjoyed vacationing in sunny places, date nights with her husband, Dave and having the people she loved most close to her. She was the quintessential soccer mom and could be found rain or shine on the sidelines of her son, Cole's Raptors soccer matches. Lisa loved listening to her daughter Sofia sing at the Rockford Music Academy. She was skilled at decorating her home, making it warm and welcoming to her family and extended circle of friends. Lisa enjoyed Cross Fit. She spent the majority of her career in sales and banking, in 2001 she started as a small business banker at AMCore Bank. In 2007, she joined US Bank as a commercial lender, in 2013 she obtained her insurance and investment licenses and worked at Thrivent Financial, in 2015 Lisa wanted to return to her banking roots and was excited to work at a true community bank as a small business relationship manager with Blackhawk Bank in Beloit, WI. Lisa enjoyed helping small business owners over the years and loved when start up businesses were able to hit milestone anniversaries. She was involved in numerous non-profit and professional organizations throughout her career. Survived by her husband, David; children, Cole and Sofia Carter all of Rockford; parents, Andrew and Linda Sharp of Rockford; sister, Amy Winiarczyk of Rockford; Father and Mother-In-Law, Mike and Norma Carter of Rockford; sister-in-law, Christine (Paul) Osmundson; nephews, Fynn and Wyatt Osmundon all of Crested Butte, CO; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; and best friend, Nikki Bindl of McFarland, WI. Visitation on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. Rockford. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family. Reverend Phillip Kaim officiating.
