Lawrence "Larry" J. Giardini, 62, of Rockford died on January 7, 2014 at 10:25 am in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1951 in Rockford, son of Francis and Joyce (Mori) Giardini. Graduate of Guilford High School and Rock Valley College. United in marriage to Christina Adams on October 15, 1983 in Rockford. Formerly employed at Motorola, NCO and the Byron Nuclear Plant. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman and member of Bass Master. Survived by his wife, Christina; mother, Joyce Schmig of Rockford; siblings, Michael (Christine) Giardini, Joanne (Tim) Humphry, Kevin (Kay) Giardini, Jeffrey Giardini, Debbie Giardini; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparents and father. A Celebration of life is Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Joyce's Home, 1419 Rebecca Drive, Rockford.
