LaVonne L. (Kite) Mattis, 66, of Rockford was born Feb. 16, 1950 and passed away on Mar 16, 2016 from natural causes. She was a loving housewife. She enjoyed going to estate sales, cooking home made pies, cakes, and dinners for all her grandkids. LaVonne loved being surrounded by flowers and watching old movies. Survived by her children; Jackie, Vickie, Debbie, Steven; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two more on the way. She was loved by her nine brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Mattis. Memorial Visitation Monday March 21, 2016 5-7 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 S. Alpine Rd. Rockford - at Colonial Village.
