Kelly Makeever Rapacki, 60, of Rockford died on January 4, 2021. Born September 24, 1960 in Iowa City, IA; daughter of Lyn and Janet (George) Makeever MD. Graduate of West High School, class of 1978. Formerly employed as a bookkeeper at 4th Street Greenhouse and The Bill Doran Company. In her younger years, she played the violin. Kelly was very artistic, loved animals, crafts and gardening. Her greatest joy was being a mother, she loved homemaking and spending time with her son. Survived by her mother, Janet Makeever; son, Aaron (Michaela Ambrose) Rapacki; sister, Ranell Makeever; brother, Matthew (Amy Caruana) Makeever; and friend, Sharon Davis. Kelly's family is grateful to Linda Robinson and Kishla "Kiki" Jones for the loving care they provided as well as the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home and Mercyhealth Hospice.
